A full circular rainbow 🌈

Just wanted to share a photo I took while flying from PDX to SFO over the weekend! I didn't know that there were such things as circular rainbows! 😲

In the zoomed up photo, can you see a faint double rainbow around the main circle? #doublerainbow 🌈🌈

It only lasted a few minutes before starting to warp, then slowly it disappeared into nothing. And when I looked into it, I found out that rainbows are typically circular! From the ground, we only see the arc because the ground disrupts the complete shape. Honestly, I would have never known this had I not seen the phenomena with my own eyes. I hope you get to see a rainbow on your next trip through the sky 😍!
